  • Lady Watcher is not shy about her allegiance to Count Strahd.
  • Our heroes agreed to help her in displacing the Baron. Her only wish was that they remove Izek. If they found something amiss, they deal with the Baron directly. She would not begrudge them.
  • Lady Watcher agreed to help certain members of the group using her resources to find out what should could about individual problems.
    • Alrik his missing village and wife.
    • Any word on Altagon’s master in the area.
    • Zydane’s issues with the dark presence that led to his initial party’s encounter.
  • Lady Watcher will have one of her servants deliver Izeks schedule to the Blue Water Inn early morning.
  • Information about Izek:
    • Izek was orphaned at the age of ten. He lost his younger sister and arm in a wolf attack. Both of his parents succumbed to grief not long thereafter. His sister’s body was never found.
    • Izek was often mocked for his disability, but after several of his tormentors went missing, the laughter abruptly stopped. No bodies were ever found, but rumors persist that Izek—a large and frequently violent person—murdered them himself.
    • Approximately a year after losing his parents, Izek was arrested by the town guard and brought to the Vallakovich mansion. No one knows what crime he committed. No one knows why he was released soon thereafter. Valentin Vallakovich’s twenty-five-year-old son, then-Baronet Vargas Vallakovich, all but adopted Izek. He took him into their home.
    • Izek served the Vallakovich family faithfully for the next five years. When Izek was sixteen, he obtained a new arm. It replaced the one he had lost. His new limb resembled a devil’s more than any human form.
    • Izek’s fiendish arm allowed him to wield a proper weapon—but, more significantly, magically gave him the power to conjure fire. Vargas soon put both of Izek’s skills to work, designating Izek his personal enforcer and a ranking member of Vallaki’s town guard.
