A mysterious journey to the town of Vallaki

• Our heroes saw a skeletal rider. The rider was dressed like the dead man. They had found this man in the woods just before arriving in Barovia.
• Our heroes met an undead Knight of the Silver Dragon who had raised his voice against his commander. His order at one time a very long time ago, perhaps before Strahd became whatever he is now. He says little about his order. He is a fallen member. He urges the heroes to speak to his commander Sir Godfrey.
• A strange meeting with an old woman who sells pies. One of the pies was eaten, putting Altogon in a dream like state for a few hours.
• Our heroes were attacked on the road by werewolves. Some of them were bitten and have afflicted with the curse.
• Arriving at the gates of Vallaki our heroes observed the following.
  • All of the refuges from Barovia are camped outside the city gates. Guards will not let them pass as they are diseased.
  • The woman from the windmill has been feeding the people the pies at a low cost.
